Bob Baker,
CLO the MASIE Center and Learning CONSORTIUM

Bob Baker joined in June 2011 to serve as the Chief Learning Officer of The Learning CONSORTIUM at The MASIE Center. He is known as an innovative learning leader who has successfully led initiatives that advanced learning’s impact through out his career. He has been recognized for his work in a variety of organizational learning areas including learning strategy, leadership development, learning-professional development, on-boarding and performance support.

In his role as CLO he actively engages with Learning CONSORTIUM members, a coalition of over 240 global organizations cooperating on the evolution of organizational learning, including CNN, Wal-Mart, American Express, Farmers Insurance, Emirates Airline, Defense Intelligence Agency, General Electric and Fidelity Investments. He provides thought leadership and oversees member-driven projects, roundtable discussions. learning experiments. He also serves as a coach to learning leaders in member organizations.
 

Recent Learning CONSORTIUM initiatives he has overseen include developing an in-depth approach designing a performance support/workplace GPS that provides learning at the point of need and identifying the best practice for marketing and branding organizational learning.  He also has recently published and has spoken on building effective learning strategies and on checklists for learning.  
 

Bob loves working at the “cutting edge” of the learning field. He believes that this is a particularly exciting time to be in the learning field, full of opportunities for new approaches that have significant impact in our organizations. He is collaborative by nature and enjoys building connections to further learning and influence.
 
Prior to joining us, Bob served in the Central Intelligence Agency for over 31 years, most recently at the Deputy Chief Learning Officer.

Bob Baker will bring a unique analytical and creative approach to the work of our Learning CONSORTIUM.  Over the past 6 years, I have collaborated with Bob on CONSORTIUM Projects and efforts in the U.S. Intelligence Community.  As your CLO, Bob will be leading key efforts within the CONSORTIUM, serving as a coach on innovation and learning strategy and working closely with our team to plan activities, events and benchmarking efforts,
